Quatro Webinar: Planning for the Future White Paper
Quatro was delighted to hold the latest in our webinar series on Friday 11th September, focused on the government’s recent Planning for the Future White Paper. The event was chaired by our Director, Tom Martin, and featured panellists Chris Katkowski QC of Landmark Chambers and Cllr John Halsall of Wokingham Borough Council.
The discussion touched on topics including the revised Local Plan process, local housing targets and affordable housing delivery. Chris and John both provided unique perspectives and, whilst they didn't always agree, they did contribute to a fascinating debate. Quatro is extremely grateful to them both for giving up their time to take part.
We also ran a poll throughout the discussion, asking guests if they believe the government will deliver the flagship reforms as set out in the White Paper or if they will need to be watered down before they are implemented. Intriguingly, 90% of the almost 70 participants believed they will be watered down - suggesting a challenging few months ahead for the government.
For those of you who were unable to attend on Friday, the webinar is now available to view online by clicking here (password: +9u$7YlP). If you have any questions about the White Paper or need help preparing a response to the government's consultation, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
