Planning success in Hackney
Quatro has helped win planning permission to restore, refurbish and extend the listed Curtain House building in Shoreditch
The proposals will improve the quality and quantity of space offered by the existing buildings, whilst retaining the key front elevation and layout of the main warehouse building. The proposals comprise a range of heritage, economic, biodiversity, sustainability and accessibility benefits, that will restore the building and ensure its long-term use into the future as office space within the Priority Employment Area.
As part of the extensive pre-application consultation, Quatro organised a Public Exhibition and individual meetings with neighbouring businesses to explain the proposals and how particular care has been taken to design the rear building extension to sit comfortably within the local environment.
The proposals the agreed unanimously by Hackney Council’s Planning Sub-Committee.
