Our Brief:

This small boutique hotel in the heart of Montparnasse opened in April 2007 and Quatro PR was appointed in October 2007 to promote the hotel to an international audience, in particular the UK and the USA.

Tactics:

  • Working with the hotel to put together English-language press materials, as well as an image library. Compiling appropriate media lists
  • Compiling a media strategy within a limited budget
  • Drafting a press release in time for the launch of the new Eurostar high-speed connection from London to Paris in November 2007. Inviting selected UK travel journalists who are travelling to Paris on the Eurostar to review the hotel
  • Inviting only selected high-profile travel journalists to ensure positioning of the hotel as an up-market destination
  • Tying in press work with major events and exhibitions in Paris

Results:

Just weeks after Quatro's appointment, Hotel des Academies et des Arts appeared in various UK national media, getting exposure in many Eurostar-related travel articles.
