QUATRO COMPLETES LONDON'S BIGGEST PUBLIC CONSULTATION

QUATRO COMPLETES LONDON'S BIGGEST PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Quatro was appointed by Treasury Holdings UK in March 2008, to run the first phase of its public consultation on the new masterplan for the 239 acre Battersea Power Station site – which will create one of the world’s first zero carbon mixed-use developments providing nearly 8 million ft2. More information can be found at www.battersea-powerstation.com.

As well as the comprehensive on-site public exhibition, Quatro set up a ‘community hotline’ and project website and organised a number of topic-specific workshops for local people. Over 15,000 people participated in the consultation during June, July and - due to the success of the exhibition - extended openings every Saturday during August.

OUTCOMES:
• More than one in three visitors filled out a questionnaire
• 66% support the proposed masterplan
• 70% said the design quality was good or very good
• During July and August alone the website had over 1.5 million hits and 18,000 unique visitors
• Over 10,000 downloaded exhibition boards

Numerous comments have been received about the quality and success of the exhibition.
