Imperial College London has submitted plans for a campus on the former BBC site on Wood Lane in White City, known as Imperial West.
The application, which totals nearly 1m sq ft, includes a facility for health and biomedical research, office space, homes and a four-star hotel. The scheme would form part of the wider regeneration of the White City Opportunity Area, which is being promoted by Hammersmith and Fulham Council and the Greater London Authority. The first phase of 606 postgraduate studios and nine keyworkers’ homes are already under construction.
Quatro organised the public consultation on the project, including four public exhibitions, a newsletter to 3,500 households and meeting with local residents, business and community groups.
