MARTHA SCHWARZ TEAM SHORTLISED FOR KING'S CROSS SQUARE COMPETITION

The Martha Schwarz team, comprising Martha Schwartz Partners and Buro Happold with Quatro, Squint/Opera and Davis Langdon, has been short-listed to develop its ideas for a brand new public square for London at King’s Cross station.

Over 100 firms from around the world expressed their interest in the Camden-Borough competition - and were whittled down to a shortlist of just six.

Camden Council Leader, Cllr Keith Moffitt, said: "The new King’s Cross will be a station for the future with a modern design that recognises its outstanding past. Residents and visitors alike will see major improvements to the historic station and its facilities, and a dramatic uplift outside. The new world-class public square will transform this part of Euston Road, making it more attractive for local residents and existing travellers."
